2008 National NeighborWorks^® Week
Rockingham Area Community Land Trust and local community members are teaming together for this event. Kicking off NWW will be two events held on June 7 at Southview Housing in Springfield, VT.  The first event involves preparing areas for construction of a playground, basketball half-court and a mini sitting park. RACLT will be participating in NeighborWorks^® Paints as the second event of the day. Southview residents and RACLT will paint the Southview Community Center room. About National NeighborWorks^® Week
During National NeighborWorks^® Week, June 7-14, Rockingham Area Community Land Trust and other NeighborWorks^® organizations across the country will mobilize tens of thousands of business people, residents and government officials in a week of neighborhood change and awareness. They will rehab and repair homes, paint and landscape properties, conduct neighborhood tours, recognize successful partnerships and host a number of events that educate, train and inform. In 2007, more than 7,000 families benefited from the week’s activities nationwide.

Through a partnership with Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, the Town of Cavendish, and Vermont Community Development Program these homes are priced very affordably. Our homeownership center has begun taking inquiries about condominiums on the Green for purchase. More

Proctorsville Green Housing Open House and Project Tour 
On May 13^th at 1:00 pm, Rockingham Area Community Land Trust, Town of Cavendish and Housing Vermont are holding an open house for the Proctorsville Green Housing project. Located in Proctorsville, Vermont, the Proctorsville Green Housing project incorporates rental, homeownership and village commercial development into a single project. The $3.7 million construction project was successfully completed in February, 2008. Sixteen permanently affordable rental apartments and four new homeownership townhouses were created. Following the event, NeighborWorks^® HomeOwnership Center of Southeastern Vermont will host an open house at 4:00 pm for anyone interested in purchasing a townhouse condominium and others. More

Homeowner Wins Big at Homebuyer Celebration
On March 26^th    Rockingham Area Community Land Trust’s NeighborWorks^® HomeOwnership Center of Southeastern Vermont celebrated the successes of this past year’s first-time homebuyers. Sixty-five families were assisted in 2007 by the homeownership center through education counseling and financial assistance.

Open House

Rockingham Area Community Land Trust will be hosting an Open House for the Proctorsville Green Townhouses on May 13^th. All are welcome to view the townhouses between the hours of 4 PM and 6 PM. First time homebuyers are encouraged to attend to learn about the many benefits of owning a townhouse condominium. A representative from the NeighborWorks^® HomeOwnership Center Of Southeastern Vermont will be available to answer questions concerning purchase options. Individuals are invited to enter a drawing for $50 gas card thanks to Jiffy Mart of Chester. More
