Vermont is holding a
workshop for those
interested in buying
a home and those in
the process of
buying one. Mascoma
Savings Bank is
sponsoring the
workshop. Terry
Allen, Assistant
Vice President and
Loan Officer will
present essential
information
regarding
mortgages.
This month’s 8 hour
“Realizing the
American Dream: A
Homebuyer’s
Workshop” is
Saturday, January 19th
from 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. in
Windsor, Vermont.
Professionals will
provide information
on affording a home,
managing money,
repairing and
rebuilding credit,
qualifying for a
mortgage, no- and
low-down payment
programs, loans for
closing costs,
working with a real
estate agent, house
inspections, and
home maintenance.
With this
information
prospective home
buyers will be able
to put together a
team of real estate
professionals to
help them buy the
most home for their
money.
Terry Allen,
Assistant Vice
President and Loan
Officer from Mascoma
Savings Bank will be
presenting the
mortgage portion of
the workshop. A
resident of Windsor,
VT, he has been
involved with
lending for over
twenty-three years.
Currently, Mr. Allen
is actively involved
with community
activities including
the Windsor Rotary,
Mt. Ascutney
Hospital and Health
Center, and member
of the Son’s of the
American Legion Post
25.
Mascoma Savings Bank
is a mutually owned
financial services
company serving
customers in the
communities they
operate in. They
provide a broad

services. In
addition to serving

participate in civic
affairs, donating to
numerous community
groups and
activities through

There is refundable
$50.00 material fee.
Participants will
receive a
comprehensive home
buying manual and
refreshments. In
addition,
participants may
choose to receive a
free credit report
and one-on-one
credit analysis with
a certified credit
counselor.
Counselors will
assess participants’
affordability and
develop a home
buying plan in this
session. The fee is
refundable to
participants after
they purchase their
home.
